The Adventures of Jimmy Crikey in the Sky Islands

Jimmy Crikey is the alien who was orphaned on Earth when his ambassador parents died, leaving their baby in charge of kindly 'Aunbt Ethel'.

Because of his strange appearance, Jimmy was bullied beyond his endurance at school. He ran away and discovered the underground world of Roombelow. Mr McDonald, the Mayor and his wife Amanda ‘adopted’ the strange-looking boy who had saved Roombelow from the sleeping spell cast by Matilda, the witch who forgot how to laugh. 

Gemma, the little lady who had lived at the bottom of the well, but didn’t know how she got there, was Jimmy’s greatest friend and once Jimmy restored Gemma to her clan of Diamonites in the cave world of Lithania, her tiny niece Jade became Jimmy’s greatest admirer.

Now freed from the bullies, Jimmy Crikey’s bravery blossomed, and he became a real hero. He used his unique Attalian powers to defend Roombelow from the dangers that threatened the town.  Above Earth, the Sky Islands were invaded by the galactic race of Zylons. It needed the power of the four witches, the ancient Weatherman plus the magic of the reluctant apprentice witch, Gemma’s youngest niece, Jade, to overcome the invaders, with a little help from Jimmy.

After their victory, Lord Oron, the Weatherman. disappeared. The witches united to search for him throughout the Solar System in Jimmy’s starship. Eventually, the search took them to explore the caverns of Mars. The stick-like beings called Ropians who inhabit the lower levels of Mars, have become an interplanetary threat. Their search for water threatens Earth. The supernatural forces of the four witches, the wisdom of the Weatherman and the knowledge of Jimmy, the boy from the star world of Attalia, unite to overcome the dangerous threat posed by the Ropians. But will victory assure the release of the Weatherman?
